Pittsburgh Pirates Wallpaper featuring Andrew McCutchen
Hopefully the first in a (large) series involving (every) MLB team. The goal is to keep designing while improving the ideas and execution. And make a bunch of awesome baseball stuff.
For those 3 of you wondering why I started this off with a Pirate, let me explain - I love baseball. I feel like I’m among the class of people with a respect for the game that I can overlook the name on the front of the jersey and there are a lot of players I follow outside of New York. Andrew McCutchen is at the top of my list. A phenomenal player in an unfortunate team situation, but the way be plays the game could be enough to bring the Pirates back into contention.
See, these are the kinds of things I could fill a blog with…
(FYI If you’d like to download this for your own various devices, leave me a message in my ask!)
This is Valentine’s Day, right?
In a crazy week of MLB redesigns, this is an excellent way to close it. I love it when teams reach back into their previous looks to come up with a new one, it’s a guaranteed home run (baseball pun absolutely intended). This also goes for the Baltimore Orioles new look. Two thumbs way up!

*For those of you wondering, I made that Jays image after reading this post. A terrible analysis from someone who I can only imagine decided just this morning that he felt like being a graphic designer. Please pay that tumblr a visit and flame.
Is it baseball season yet?
This week’s isse of Sports Illustrated features two covers. The first is the Green Bay Packers receiving corp posing with QB Aaron Rodgers. The second is Albert Pujols and Rafael Furcal embracing after the Cardinals’ World Series victory. (Packers - Robert Beck/SI; Cardinals - Al Tielemans/SI)
Is there a reason the World Series cover couldn’t have been circulated nationally?? Why do we need 2 different covers this week?? Baseball gets the shaft again…
