So here’s to you, Red Sox. I raise my glass to #Fenway100. (Taken with instagram)
To the guy with the Jose Molina Yankees World Series 2009 player t-shirt: Since you are not, in fact, veteran backup catcher Jose Molina or a member of his family, I have to wonder what force on earth compelled you to spend at least 25 of your presumably hard earned American dollars on apparel that celebrates one of the worst offensive baseball players ever to live. I’m just going to assume that, halfway through this ferry ride, you’re going to jump off the boat to your death, and that you wore this particular shirt so that, when your body is fished out of the East River, it won’t take long to identify you, because the number of people who have purchased and worn a Jose Molina player tee has to be in the low teens.
Just because it’s on clearance at the MLB Shop doesn’t mean you should buy it, dude.

That’s what he has been doing for all these years. Working. He clearly loves his job. His game has been joyous. But it’s still work, and work must be done right, and that seems to me what Derek Jeter has been about. When he gets to 3,000 hits, there will be talk about winning and clutch hits and leadership and famous plays and charisma and the smile and commercials and what it means to be Yankees captain.
Thank you, Tumblr Yankee fans.
I do love how the Tumblr universe can make you feel so loved. My Rivera poster has been liked and reblogged so many times it almost makes me feel a little Tumblr famous ;)
I gotta say, I’m glad that I could make something that Yankee fans enjoyed because that is exactly what I want to do with my life. I want to reach sports fans through design, through a team or league’s brand. I want to reassure the devoted and create new allegiances. I want to draw people into stadiums and remind them why they fell in love with the sport.
So thank you, Tumblr Yankee fans. I think I may be creating more of these in the future (and honestly, if there was a way I could sell these without a fat lawsuit from MLB I totes would).
And hey, I am always looking for new projects to tackle and love suggestions. If I want to create for the fans, I need to know what the fans want! Don’t be afraid to drop something in my ask box, there’s a good chance I’ll take the challenge :)
12:30am - Don’t sleep, design Mariano Rivera poster instead.
Day 30 - Your favorite song at this time last year
Run This Town (Yankees ‘09 Playoff Remix) - Z100
So my plan for this day was to go into my iTunes and look at today’s date last year. This is the only song from that date. AND I just happened to have heard this years playoffs remix this morning on Z100. I love how the universe works out sometimes.
Mo totes approves of Dunkin’s awesome new cups.
